This is my work desk. As you can see I have 2 uneven monitors. It drove me nuts and I have been trying to get IT to change the smaller one to the bigger size but IT always claimed that they only have stock of the smaller one so they can change the bigger one to the smaller one. So I suffer until one day, I was having discussion with IT manager...
Me: You know C has really nice big monitors. I wish I can change to hers as I do a lot of documentation and reading.
IT Manager: Is it? Well just put a request through IT. I will approve it.
Me: I want the big ones that C has and I want to replace BOTH... you sure?
IT Manager: Yea. Just put in a request, I will approve it.
Me: What the..... I have been talking to your staff for the longest time to change the smaller one to the bigger one and now you are just gonna give me 2 biggest monitor like that?
IT Manager: Yea.
Me: Why?
IT Manager: Cause I wanna make your boss jealous...
Me: Ok that works...
Boss: What the.... what happen to your old monitors?
Me: I need bigger screens to work boss.
Boss: Hey I want bigger screens to work too..
Me: ~Shrug...
Yup, Boss is super envious... I like it when things work in my favor. The last I heard he was negotiating with IT Manager..
